Engage with phonics physically. This set of 44 brightly coloured Phonics Indoor/Outdoor spots covers each of the key phonics sounds. Children can shout out, jump to, and leap from sound to sound to develop literacy and language skills and bring learning to life. Made from durable rubber the spots are non-slip, and can be used indoors and out. Dimensions: 225mm diameter.
- Great to reinforce phonics learning in a lively and fun way
- Colour coded so the children can immediately recognise vowels, digraphs and single consonants
- Wipe-clean and durable they will withstand extensive use
- Use them in PE: As a warm up - don't touch the floor - move from spot to spot and say the phoneme
- Develop motor skills - bounce a ball on the spot and say the phoneme
- Children can make different words and take photos for evidence of phonics application in the Continuous Provision area. This will encourage collaboration and team work.
- They can be used inside or out, in the whole of KS1, as a teacher or child led activity. Because of their size they are great to hold up in the Revisit and Review section of your phonics lesson, as a quick read.
