EaRL Phonics Mat from Hope Education

The EaRL Phonics Mat offers an interactive way for teachers to combine phonics and coding in the classroom, supporting both literacy and computational thinking for Key Stage 1 pupils. Designed for use with the EaRL Coding Robot (not included), this mat helps children practise phonemes and graphemes while developing programming skills through hands-on activities.

Use EaRL's sound recording feature to record phonics sounds, and pupils can code EaRL to land on the correct phoneme or grapheme on the mat. Teach programming to KS1 pupils and begin to harness computational thinking whilst teaching phonics at the same time - it's cross-curricular perfection!
